Hey Friends! Today we have another awesome interview with one of our twitter followers! We’re so happy to introduce you to Stella, a cat owner from the UK!
Hey Stella, super stoked to have you interviewed for Supawcute! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Aww thanks for the opportunity to chatter about furbaby. I live in South Wales uk and write a blog. Lollipop is my world lol.
How long have you been a pet parent?
For five years now.
I know you have an adorable little one, can you tell us her name?
Her official name is Lola Lollipop, aka Princess Lola Lollipop. Don’t judge me but I named her after The Copacabana song because she wafts her tail around like a feather boa and she’s a total glamourpuss.
How did you meet your little one and how did you know she was the one for you?
Well I have known her since her mother was pregnant with her. Her mum was my house mates cat. And Lola chose me, I was always fussing over her and her siblings and playing with them. She was a little mischief.
What is your little one’s favourite thing to do?
Hmmm that is toughy. Either napping on my lap or terrorizing the local wildlife…we went through a phase where I’d have to check she didn’t have a mouse or vowl in her mouth before she came in. I have lost count of the number of furry creatures I’ve rescued from her.
Does she have a favourite toy or toys?
She does…Her catnip mouse aka Mousie. I washed him and she looked heartbroken bless her when I pegged him out on the line to dry. She also loves boxes and Any thing dangly including my hair haha.
When you’re not around what do you think she’s up to?
Mischief haha. Or napping. She loves a snooze.
What is one of the biggest challenges you’ve had with her?
Honestly it’s her Irritable bowl disease. My poor love is so brave when we go to the vets. And because she’s not allowed normal cat treats she gets spoiled with toys and occasionally a piece of boiled chicken. I was in tears when she was first poorly before she was diagnosed. We have a great vet though.
Is there any advice you wish you got before you adopted her?
Yeah mainly about how to socialise her…unless your human with a good soul be prepared to be met with hissy grouch who’s not afraid to get frisky with her claws.
What’s your favourite thing about being a pet owner?
The joy she brings me. She makes me laugh so much. She’s also like a therapy pet to me because she does things to calm me down or to comfort me when I’m distressed (I have a severe mental illness) she is so sweet.
A lot of people don’t like pets… for some really odd reason… what would you tell them the benefit to having a little one is?
They are good for your mental well being. Whether that’s making you laugh because of their mischief or because they love you unconditionally back too.
If you could adopt another pet, what would it be?
Haha a raccoon aka a trash panda. We don’t have them over here but they are cute. I wanted to adopt a dog but Lollipop has put her paw down and won’t let me.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned as a pet owner?
Honestly, responsibility. Because regardless of how poorly I am I have to get up and take care of Lollipops needs. She is literally my reason for getting out bed, although I wish she wouldn’t wake me up at 5am defending me with a moving rendition of meow mew mow moooooow.
Where can we find more of your adorable kitty?
Right here. She’s on twitter
Anything you want to leave our readers off with?
I know cats get a bad rep. But Lollipop has shown me that even those with four legs and tail have a lot if love to give.
Thank you so much for your time Stella! We loved getting to know more about you and your kitty! And for those of you reading, let us know if you want an interview on Supawcute! We’d love to get to know more about you and show off your little ones!
