So happy to have the lovelies from Living With Loulou with us this week!
I would love to know why you started blogging?
One day I just started writing stream of consciousness memories and my first five blogs were born! I saw things from my kitty’s eyes and thought anthros would enjoy my views and opinions, too. Or not, haha.
What’s your little one’s name?
Hey, it’s the little one here who is answering! I thought you wanted MY view of things. My name is Loulou and I’m a French kitty
What is the most challenging thing for you as a pet parent?
I’ll just answer for mama. Keeping my svelte little body in good shape, as sometimes it goes a bit sideways and then the feared ‘DIET’ happens.
What is your favourite thing about being a pet parent?
Well, mama just loves kitties and I happen to be the last one she has had in a line of about 7 and of course, the BEST.
There are a number of folks who don’t like pets, how would you convince them that having pets is actually a huge positive in households?
I think anthros who do not like pets are a hard sell. But put a little kitty in their hands and they often melt away. They just don’t want the responsibility or they are allergic or they think we are expensive. Hard to change a set mind, but a kitten often does it.
What are your little one’s favourite toys?
I adore my feather on the end of a fishing pole. I also love anything I can chase on the end of anything. And I LOVE my Nip Nanna.
When not with you, where can we find your little one?
This little one is on her bed, snoozing, waiting for you know who to come HOME and snuggle me!

Hey, mama would NOT adopt another one except if it showed up at the door bedraggled and homeless and looking at maman with baleful eyes. She just might. But not bloody likely with me around! Sorry, but it’s true. A friend of her did it and it did not work out at all, but fortunately the ‘adopted’ other kitty found a permanent home in one week!
I love the photos you take of Loulou, did LouLou inspire you to get into photography?
Yes, I stimulated mama to really reach out and grab the shot asap, no hesitation. She who hesitates (in photography) is lost!
What’s a quirk about Loulou that you absolutely love?
Oh, no question here. The way I sleep. I seem to find the most weird sleeping positions of any kitty mama has had and it cracks her and papa up!!!
How did you meet Loulou?
AHHHH…I was seen in the garden. Mama had put out vibes for a kitty. Really, the truth, she said I WANT A KITTY. IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG BETWEEN KITTIES. I appeared. Mama put out food. I ate it, far away from the house. She put out more the next day closer to the house. I ate that and disappeared (into their wood pile, but they didn’t know that).
She put out more next to the kitchen door. I ate that.
She put out the last dish just inside the door. I entered the house and bammo, mama shut the door and I was theirs and they were MINE.
What can our readers expect to see on your blog?
Well, for sure, some funny photos. But also opinions on politics, family life, sex, kindness, mean people, lovely friends, you name it, it’ll be there.
What is some advice you wish you got before adopting little ones?
Well, mama didn’t need much advice because she had adopted several of my kitty friends before, but what any anthro adopting a kitty or doggy needs to know is, Give your little one time. To adjust. To explore. To settle in. But above all, TO CHOOSE YOU on his or her own terms. All will be well if you do that.l
Thank you for having me. It has been a lovely experience and made me think a lot about how important it is to adopt.
