Crystal, I’m interested to know what got you into blogging?
I had seen these advertisements from WordPress.com and on different job boards(yes I said job boards) as advertisements and kept passing them until one day my curiosity got the better of me + I thought it would be fun. I learn something new each day. I even took 3 blogging courses from Blogging University.
How many little ones do you have in your family and what are their names?
I have 1 cat and she is 11 years old and her name is Daisy Mae.
I see you take a lot of pictures of animals and wildlife, what was your favourite picture to shoot and why?
Well first off most of those shots you see posted are from a game camera and it takes great pictures. My favorite picture that was shot well that’s a tough decision. I say that because I have 2 favorites. My first favorite picture is of the bear and the second favorite picture(which I took) is of a white feathered Turkey another favorite picture. Why are these my top favorites well we don’t get many bear around here and it’s always exciting to see a Bear let alone get a picture of one and as for the White Feathered Turkey, I had never seen a Turkey with white feathers so that was exciting to see and get a picture of as well
Wow!! That’s a question. I have so many favorite things about Daisy Mae I like I can’t pick just one. I guess I love how she just loves to give myself and my family kitty lovings.
What are some of her favourite things to do or toys to play with?
Daisy Mae loves to play pole and hide under things and pretend she is in the bushes then go after the string on the pole. She likes to play in boxes in fact she got in the Christmas Tree box with the extension cord while I helped my family put up the Christmas tree. Daisy Mae also likes her catnip.
I know this may be a heated question, but what was the scariest moment for you as a pet parent? How did you overcome this obstacle?
Thinking Back to Daisy Mae’s Kittyhood right after we got her I remember she went exploring in the basement and leave it to Daisy Mae she found a hole in the side of the wall that she decided to go in and explore. She got in OK but she found she couldn’t get turned around to come out. How did I overcome this obstacle. I knew she had gone in to far for me to get her so luckily my father was able to rescue her.
What are the benefits you find in having a little one (or little ones) inside of your house?
There are many benefits of having a cat or cats inside your house. Companionship is a big benefit, the fact when your cat exercises you sometimes get exercise too, a cat is a joy and a blessing to have and they’re easy to take care of.
If you could adopt any pet in the world what would they be and why?
I think it would be a cat. As for why, I think it would be that a cat is easy to take care of and if you want to go somewhere for a few hours you don’t need leave after 2 hours like you would a dog or another animal.
We know you are such a big part of the pet community, what is your favourite part of being in it?
My favorite part of being in the pet community is helping get the word out and seeing the positive results it has on the animals and the people.
New pet parents are always looking for advice from bloggers, what is some advice you wish you had been given when you first started taking care of the adorable furballs?
What food I should feed my cat, What to do for continuous itching and biting and How to Limit hairballs.
We love how diverse your website is, and we want our readers to know what they can find on your page, care to let them know?
I would love to let them know. My page will be about animals, Pictures of animals, I’m an animal lover myself so there will be a lot about animals, I’m big on family and friends and of course a few reblogs and shares. I have two blogs so I use both sites to get the word out. My site addresses are: http://daisymae2017.wordpress.com and http://crystalsphotobloggingsite.wordpress.com . Don’t let the site address mislead you because if you read the tag line it’s more than photos. I do have some more questions with answers and they’re below.
My family and I got Daisy Mae in an strange way. I had just come home from work and I could hear a loud noise, as it turned out it was this cute little kitten with good lungs. The strange part was that Daisy Mae’s Mom brought her to us and kept checking for a few days until she saw we were going to take care of her.
How old was Daisy Mae when I got her?
She was an estimated 4 weeks old. That puts her birthday somewhere in September.
How did Daisy Mae get her name?
We were having a family birthday party for my nephew. He had just turned 4 and 2 of my 4 nieces and my nephew wanted to see the kitten. They were given the task of naming her. They eventually named her Daisy Mae.
